As of March 2011 in Cambodia's capitol Phnom Penh you can get another free tourist visa. even if you had many tourist visas to Thailand before and agent can get you another tourist visa, at least a single entry.
Without an agent it needs 4 days if u drop the passport in the morning, else 5 days.
With an agent who arrange everything the price list from the hotel was as follows, iif u want get back the passport within x days (if u drop the passport to the agent in the morning):
- one (that mean get back the passport on the same day): 19$
- two: 14$
- three: 9$
- four: 4$
I had 4 previous visa in my passport, double a well as triple entry visa. The agent needed one photo in addition to the passport - nothing more. The 4$ are worth the money, even if u can get the visa in this time by your self. that because you safe a lot of time and the money for the TukTuk as well.
If you dont want to go all the way to Phnom Penh you find agents doing the trip with your Passport in Had Lek/Koh Kong as well. The fee including everything done within two business days is about 50 US$.
As Koh Kong has many attractions it's worth a stay as well. On the other hand a trip to Phnom Penh is worth to invest the time always also.
Finally the question may be important: where to find such an agent doing all the stuff for you?
Just ask at some hotel receptions. They have their connections. I myself made best experiences with the staff from the Armani Hotel in the 136th St. not far from the river in Phnom Penh.
